Keys Group is looking for a support worker to join our family home in Bacup. The role involves caring for younger children who are very active and energetic, providing encouragement, support and inspiring them to grow.

Job details

  • Location: Bacup
  • Salary: £12.60 per hour plus £62.64 for each sleep‑in (approx 4‑8 sleep‑ins per month) and an additional £3,000‑£6,000 per annum
  • Contract: Full‑time
  • Driving: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and loving home for children and young people
  • Act as a positive role model, giving encouragement and praise
  • Support children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
  • Build friendships and trusting relationships
  • Help children find pleasure in everyday tasks and empower them to make decisions
  • Participate in fun days out such as swimming, trampolining, football and dance

  • Experience or qualifications in children’s care, nursery, sport, education or early years
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and act as a role model
