Registered Manager- Children's Home (Learning Disabilities) with adjoining SEND school

This is the ideal opportunity for an Ofsted or CQC Registered Manager with a background in Learning Disabilities & Complex Needs. Join us to lead an exciting new project setting up a children’s home for young people with learning disabilities. The home will share a site with an adjoining school, offering an integrated care and education experience for children who struggle with the transition to mainstream schooling.

About this home:

  • Residential Children’s home for 5 young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities and Autism.
  • Children receive 1:1 support at a minimum, with staffing levels adjusted during school hours to support the on-site school.
  • Children will attend our on-site SEND school, which supports up to 10 children living in our residential homes.

Your Role as a Registered Manager:

  • Be the voice and advocate for both your team and the children, creating a home where safety, respect and aspirations thrive.
  • Empower your team to deliver therapeutic, child-centered care that leads to real, lasting outcomes.
  • Oversee all operational aspects, including safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and team development.
  • Mentor and develop staff, cultivating future leaders through coaching, supervision and training (including QCF Level 3 facilitation).
  • Lead service development, budget management and continuous improvement across all areas of home performance.
  • Work closely with the head teacher and team at the adjoining school to ensure a seamless experience for our young people.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted or CQC regulated Learning Disabilities home.
  • Must hold or be working towards a Level 5 qualification in Management (for CQC Registered Managers, Keys will support you to achieve your Children’s module).
  • Experience of budgets and financial management.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
