Working Hours
39 hours per week.
Shift pattern: 7 on 7 off; alternate pattern: Week 1 – 5 long days (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun); Week 2 – Wed, Thu and 2 sleeps across the two weeks.
Full UK Driving Licence required.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic care and support to children and young people with complex needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or challenging behaviour.
- Act as a positive role model meeting their everyday living needs.
- Support children in a homely environment to meet individual needs and overcome challenges to prepare them for life.
- Build friendships, trust, and relationships.
- Encourage children to find pleasure in everyday tasks and empower them to make decisions about themselves.
- Participate in fun days out such as theme parks, fishing, football and hiking.
Qualifications and Skills
- Natural caring, flexible, and resilient; strong communication skills.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Experience and previous qualifications not required but welcomed.
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep‑ins with full‑time and part‑time hours available.
