We are looking for a resilient, empathetic and caring children's support worker to become part of our small family home, caring for 2 boys who have emotional and behavioural difficulties, to keep them safe from harm and help them to grow and develop. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. The role can be emotionally challenging and you could be handling difficult situations BUT you could be the person to change a life for the better.
As a therapeutic support worker you will:
- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people
- Act as a positive role model to give encouragement and praise
- Have lots of fun with activities such as trampolining
- Provide emotional support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
- Build friendships and trusting relationships
- Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
- Empower them to make decisions about themselves
