Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will play an integral part of our warm and knowledgeable team, creating a welcoming, structured & safe home for our children, leading by example, embedding solid practices, and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in overall facility management, staff and care administration.
- Contribute to and implement care plans, participate in reviews and meetings, ensuring documentation is up to date.
- Facilitate day-to-day staff management, monitoring and supervision.
- Assist in recruitment, training and supervision of care staff, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Oversee assessment, care planning and implementation of care plans for residents.
- Monitor and evaluate quality of care, identify improvement areas and implement changes.
- Maintain accurate records, including resident files, staff rosters and financial documents.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and company policies, fostering a safe environment.
- Participate in meetings and training to support continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within healthcare or social care.
- Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and inspiring a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families and colleagues.
- IT proficiency, including experience with care management systems.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
