We are looking for an experienced, resilient and nurturing Senior Children’s Support Worker to join our family home, caring for young people with complex emotional difficulties. You will provide encouragement, support during crises, and inspire the team to achieve the best outcomes.
Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 12 months children’s home experience and a level 3 qualification in residential childcare.
- Experience or knowledge of child‑centred therapeutic models.
- Strong communication skills; naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
- Flexibility to work shifts and sleep‑ins, including full‑time and part‑time hours.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and support young people to lead a positive life of development.
- Facilitate professional day‑to‑day management and support the Service Manager in delivering quality care.
- Lead and collaborate with other professionals to provide therapeutic care for each child.
- Record events, observations, progress reports, and implement care plans.
- Act as a positive role model, build trusting relationships, and support daily living needs.
