South Park Enterprise College is an independent SEMH specialist school for students aged 11-16, many with EHCPs and diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD. We provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people who have struggled in mainstream schools or face exclusion.

Purpose of Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teacher will model professional integrity and the EPIC values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is open to specialists who can teach Humanities providing outreach and onsite support to SEND and SEMH students.
  • Deliver and plan lessons while overseeing the curriculum in accordance with Keys Group and Ofsted Educational Standards.
  • Provide professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes.
  • Help and support individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves.
  • Keep a register of pupils' attendance, set assignments and homework, mark pupils work, record completion, write progress reports and carry out continuous assessment.

Responsibilities

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement.
