ROLE: Support Worker - 2 positions available, 1 permanent AND 1 maternity cover.

About Glebe: Glebe Road is a registered Mental Health service which can support up to six people and provides individuals with a range of accommodation options including flats and studio apartments. The service offers 24-hour support from an experienced and skilled staff team with input from clinical specialists. Glebe Road is designed to provide an opportunity for individuals to step down into more independent living at a pace to suit their needs. It follows the Recovery Star Model, which supports individuals to develop the skills and confidence to manage their own Mental Health relapse strategies. This model of support has a proven track record of progressively supporting people towards Supported Living and it offers commissioners greater value for money through an improved step-down success rate resulting in more cost-effective placements.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development.
