About Ffordd Newydd: Ffordd Newydd is a residential transitional Mental Health service, supporting 6 people within their own individual studio apartments. We are passionate about enabling people to make their own choices about the support they receive. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone. We understand the importance of providing person-centred support which enables independence and meets individual’s needs.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day lives of the people we support. You will provide assistance with personal care, encourage independence, and promote social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to adults in supported living environments.
- Assist with the day-to-day care, ensuring the individuals you support follow a regular and fulfilling routine.
- Help individuals achieve greater independence while supporting them in living their best life.
- Support hobbies and interests to promote the growth of personal skills.
- Assist with health care needs, such as attending routine appointments, administering medication, and providing general healthcare support.
- If you have experience in supporting people with epilepsy, this would be highly beneficial.
- Help with developing life skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, and paying bills.
- Support with personal care as needed, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times.
- Assist with household chores, such as cooking and cleaning.
- Provide compassionate guidance and encouragement, offering both physical and emotional support to individuals in your care.
