Package Description:

  • Salary: from £14.45 per hour per year PLUS £62.64 per sleep in additional £3,000-£6,000 per year for sleep-ins
  • Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week working long days and sleep ins
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required

We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our loving family home, caring for younger children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

What does the job involve?

  • Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children, led and supported by a registered manager.

What do you need?

  • We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
  • Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
  • Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
  • Experience in care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
