Role Purpose: Join us as a Quality Reviewer, where you’ll play a key role in safeguarding standards and driving continuous improvement. You’ll independently assess services against regulatory, statutory, and organisational requirements, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities to enhance quality. Providing clear, evidence-based insights, you’ll support the Senior Quality Manager and wider team in strengthening compliance, assurance, and organisational oversight while maintaining an objective, independent perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver internal audits and quality reviews across services, including thematic audits on care delivery, medication management, safeguarding, health & safety, staffing and training, recruitment checks, and digital care records.
- Ensure all audit activity is consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with organisational standards.
- Assess compliance against regulatory requirements and organisational policies, clearly identifying and documenting risks, non‑compliance, and poor practice.
- Escalate significant concerns promptly and maintain oversight of higher‑risk services or those subject to regulatory action.
- Review, monitor, and track action plans, validating that improvements are effectively implemented and sustained, and escalating where progress is insufficient.
- Produce clear, accurate audit reports, summarising key findings including risks, non‑compliance, good practice, and required actions.
- Contribute to trend analysis and provide quality insight.
- Work professionally with operational teams while maintaining independence, providing constructive, evidence‑based feedback and contributing to quality forums.
- Support the application of quality, risk, and care policies, accurately recording findings using organisational systems.
- Undertake additional quality assurance or project work as required, ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, and travel nationally, including overnight stays where needed.
Experience:
- Experience within adult social care in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of regulations, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
- Experience of auditing, compliance, or quality monitoring activity.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
- Ability to identify and elevate risk appropriately.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- QCF level 5 or equivalent.
- Experience using Nourish and Radar or other similar systems.
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within a regulated care environment.
- Experience working within a multi‑site organisation.
