The predicted salary is between 35 - 35 £ per hour.

Pay: £15 – £35 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Location: Essex (current demand in Colchester) – face-to-face delivery in homes and community settings

Working pattern: Flexible, term-time only. Minimum 2 days per week. Self-employed (paid per timetabled hours).

About the Role

  • Deliver tailored, one-to-one sessions in English, Maths, and life skills
  • Plan and adapt personalised lessons to suit individual learner needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to support engagement and growth
  • Deliver sessions in quiet community settings or students’ homes
  • Work flexibly with scheduling that fits your availability
  • Travel across local areas to deliver sessions

Who We Support

You will work with young people who are:

  • Excluded or at risk of exclusion
  • School refusers
  • Experiencing disruption due to health or home circumstances
  • At risk of entering the criminal justice system

Requirements

  • Experience delivering the UK curriculum
  • Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
  • Understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD and mental health needs
  • Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH learners
  • Minimum availability of 2 days per week
  • Ability to travel (full UK driving licence, own vehicle with business insurance and breakdown cover)
  • A patient, resilient, and resourceful approach
