Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teacher will model professional integrity and the EPIC values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is open to a specialist in STEM.
  • Help students with a range of special educational needs and deliver targeted Maths and Science interventions to boost attainment and confidence.
  • Experience teaching through a spiral programme, revisiting concepts and topic areas, each time extending knowledge, deepening understanding, and developing skills.
  • Work alongside relevant internal and external professionals such as psychologists and therapists.

Requirements

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement.
