Role Description: You have two primary roles as a Consulting Manager:
- As a Consultant: You have technical, business development, pre-sales and client engagement responsibilities. You are an expert in one of our technology domains, Tableau.
- As a Manager: You have recruitment, management and development responsibilities; managing a team of Tableau Experts.
Tasks/Responsibilities as a Consultant:
- Technical Expertise in Tableau
- Be a go-to person for your primary technology internally.
- Help manage the partner relationship for your primary technology.
- Design and architect solutions.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and advise on appropriate technical solutions.
- Plan out the work required to deliver a project in Tableau, and where necessary, Alteryx.
- Develop and maintain dashboards in Tableau, plus other data preparation and visualisation tools as required.
- Deliver knowledge transfer and training to the client.
- Strengthen our internal consultant network by helping solve challenges that other consultants present to the group.
- Contribute to sales work by spotting opportunities for future work and building, modifying, and presenting demos.
- Work on R&D side projects individually or as part of a team.
Business Development:
- Support and uncover business development opportunities at clients you are engaged at.
- Stay abreast of developments in your domain and uncover and evaluate business development opportunities with new technologies/partners/clients.
Pre-Sales Activities:
- Support sales and pre-sales activities on new opportunities.
- Attend meetings with sales team members to help qualify opportunities and demonstrate Keyrus’ technical expertise.
- Contribute to the writing of proposals, SOWs and RFPs.
Client Engagement:
- Lead project teams throughout all phases of client engagement including scoping, estimation, delivery and handover to the client.
- Track aspects of the engagement including issues/risks, progress towards agreed milestones and consumed days/budget.
- Deliver training in your primary technology for clients and as part of joint initiatives with technology partners.
Tasks/Responsibilities as a Manager:
- Support the recruitment team in achieving Keyrus’ recruitment targets.
- Interview candidates at various stages in the recruitment process to assess technical ability, consulting skills, and cultural fit.
- Performance Management: goal setting, continuous conversations, give frequent feedback.
- Detect possible performance or leaving risks and escalate.
- Escalate promotion and salary increase recommendations.
- Apply the competencies matrices when setting goals, coaching and providing feedback and recognition.
- Support the processes monitoring and reporting historic and forecast utilisation of the consulting team.
- Support the processes monitoring availability of the consulting team and staffing of projects.
- Help foster support and engagement in the consulting team, Keyrus UK as a whole, and globally with other Keyrus subsidiaries.
- Drive engagement within his/her team with projects/clients other team members are working on, knowledge sharing, and company initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Able to work with complex calculations including LODs.
- Strong understanding and ability to work with Table Calculations.
- Able to create and work with blended data sources.
- Understanding of dashboard/worksheet actions.
- Able to act as Site Admin within a major Tableau Server environment.
- Experience of configuring and using groups, access, scheduling and other common functions within Tableau Server.
- Back-end Tableau Server knowledge is desirable.
- Experience with Tableau Desktop/Server version 10 is desirable.
- You have a good understanding of the business, technical and organisational requirements, drivers and challenges in different sectors.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Strong conceptual, methodical, analytical and strategic thinking as well as the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Good presentation skills are also an absolute must as is knowing the tools that will allow you to deliver high level presentations to both functional as well as technical audiences.
- Experience in pre-sales and/or business development.
- You have experience in managing and developing client relations at senior or executive level.
