Keyrus is an international group of 2,800 consultants and experts across 28 countries, built on a single conviction: AI does not transform businesses. Architected intelligence does. For more than 30 years, we have been building the data foundations that make intelligent systems work — designing the Operating System of the intelligent enterprise, where intelligence is embedded into the core of business processes to create sustainable value: we operationalise intelligence.

AI does not replace humans. It repositions us to a place no system can follow: understanding, deciding, designing, and creating. At Keyrus, you will not just develop skills — you will develop judgment. Your expertise sharpens with every system you architect, every client challenge you solve, and every deployment that compounds on the last. Over time, you grow into one of the rarest professionals of the intelligence era: someone who bridges data, AI, and human decision-making at scale, across industries and geographies. This is not a role you fill. It is a discipline you master and a story you help write to become a Keyrus Architect of Intelligence.

Role Details

  • Job location: London – UK (Hybrid, flexible)
  • Contract type: Employee or Inside IR35
  • Target start date: August 2026
  • Working hours: Full-time (40h/ week)
  • Compensation: 58k – 87k (Senior Level) or 83k – 108k (Principal Level)

What You'll Architect

As an AI Solutions Architect, you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining artificial intelligence, data, semantic technologies, and human decision-making. This role is both technical and consultative — ideal for someone who can combine hands-on engineering, AI solution design, and direct stakeholder engagement. Working closely with analysts, researchers, engineers, and business leaders, you will design and deliver AI-powered solutions that transform how organisations discover, understand, and interact with data.

Operating in a manner similar to a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will own initiatives from problem discovery through implementation, deployment, and optimisation, translating complex business challenges into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions across enterprise data and analytics environments.
  • Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand challenges and convert requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
  • Build and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems leveraging LLMs, retrieval architectures, semantic models, and knowledge representations.
  • Develop intelligent document processing solutions focused on financial filings, regulatory content, and structured financial data.
  • Design and enhance semantic search, retrieval, and data discovery capabilities that improve access to enterprise knowledge.
  • Build natural language interfaces that enable non-technical users to interact effectively with complex datasets.
  • Contribute to metadata modelling, governance frameworks, and AI enablement initiatives.
  • Own the full solution lifecycle from discovery, design, and development through deployment, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a trusted technical partner for both business and technical stakeholders, driving outcomes with a high degree of autonomy.

Who You Are

  • You are naturally curious and passionate about applying AI to solve real-world business problems.
  • You enjoy working at the intersection of technology, data, and business strategy, translating complex challenges into practical solutions.
  • You are comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and accountability.
  • You thrive in environments where requirements are evolving and ambiguity is common, using structured thinking to create clarity and direction.
  • You enjoy partnering directly with stakeholders to understand problems deeply before designing solutions.
  • You balance innovation and experimentation with a strong focus on production readiness, reliability, and business value.
  • You are equally comfortable discussing technical architectures with engineers and explaining outcomes to non-technical audiences.
  • You continuously learn and stay current with developments across Generative AI, Agentic AI, retrieval systems, and enterprise data platforms.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience delivering AI, Data, or Software Engineering solutions in production environments.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to identify requirements and shape technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Experience working with financial data, regulatory datasets, or enterprise information environments.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally when required.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong Python expertise, including APIs, asynchronous architectures, data pipelines, and production-grade applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based solutions, including: Prompt Engineering, Structured Output Generation, Agent Orchestration, Agentic Workflows, Multi-Step Reasoning.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, including: Embeddings, Vector Databases, Retrieval Pipelines, Chunking, indexing, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience with Knowledge Representation and Semantic Modelling, including: Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Search, Metadata-Driven Architectures.
  • Strong SQL skills, including analytics, joins, and window functions.
  • Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, pandas, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS Bedrock or other enterprise AI platforms.
  • Experience with AI engineering tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
  • Experience with Neo4j, graph databases, or advanced knowledge graph implementations.
  • Experience working with SEC, EDGAR, XBRL, or similar financial data extraction and processing frameworks.
  • Exposure to Collibra, Master Data Management (MDM), or Metadata Management platforms.
  • Experience building AI-powered data marketplaces, retrieval systems, or semantic search platforms.
  • Previous experience in consulting, solution architecture, or FDE roles.
  • Experience working in highly consultative enterprise environments with senior stakeholders.

What Makes You Successful

  • You focus on solving business problems rather than simply implementing technology.
  • You can quickly understand complex domains and translate ambiguous requirements into structured solutions.
  • You build AI systems that balance innovation, usability, reliability, and scalability.
  • You understand that successful AI solutions require more than models—they require strong foundations in data, retrieval, governance, and user experience.
  • You are comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end, from initial discovery workshops to production deployment.
  • You build trust with stakeholders through clear communication, technical expertise, and consistent delivery.
  • You continuously look for ways to improve how users discover, access, and interact with information.
  • You embrace emerging technologies while remaining pragmatic about business value and operational realities.
  • You contribute to collective intelligence by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and helping raise the standard of delivery across teams.

How Our Salary Ranges Work

At Keyrus, salary ranges reflect different levels of mastery and impact within the same role — not different job titles. Bottom of the range: You meet the core requirements and will need ramp-up time and support. Middle of the range: You are fully autonomous from Day 1 and deliver consistently. Top of the range: You are a reference for the role, mentor others, and raise the bar for the team. Final offers are based on experience, autonomy, scope, and market context, and are discussed transparently during the process.

Responsible AI & Recruitment

At Keyrus, all stages of our recruitment process are conducted and evaluated by human recruiters and interviewers. To support accuracy and efficiency, AI may occasionally be used internally by our team exclusively for note-taking purposes during interviews. AI is never used to make decisions. To ensure fairness, authenticity, and the protection of confidential and proprietary information, the use of AI tools by candidates during the recruitment process is strictly prohibited. Our commitment to responsible AI practices ensures that hiring decisions are based solely on each candidate’s own skills, experience, judgment, and expertise. Any use of AI assistance during the interview process may result in immediate disqualification from the recruitment process.
