About the Role
We are recruiting compassionate and reliable Children's Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential settings.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working with children who are looking to develop a rewarding career in children's residential care.
This is a 12-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with successful candidates transferring to a permanent contract with the client after the initial temporary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to children and young people.
- Build positive, professional relationships and promote emotional wellbeing.
- Support with daily routines, personal care (where required), education, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Follow safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Transport children and young people when required.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience working with children in any capacity (residential care, schools, SEN, childcare, youth work, mentoring, coaching, etc.).
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
- Minimum 18 months remaining on your current UK work visa (where applicable).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible to work a variety of day and night shifts, including weekends.
- Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
