We are recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee complex civils, groundworks, and RC frame packages on a secured government infrastructure project in Reading. You must hold active SC clearance (or be eligible to obtain it) and have a proven track record delivering technically demanding schemes in live environments. This is a high-spec project requiring a manager with strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to site coordination, HSEQ, and programme delivery. Responsibilities: * Day-to-day management of groundworks, reinforced concrete frames, utilities, and enabling works * Manage site teams, direct labour, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and standards are maintained * Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, RAMS, and site-specific security protocols * Coordinate with engineering, commercial and planning teams to maintain progress against programme * Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and manage site logistics * Ensure quality control and accurate reporting of progress, variations, and resource levels * Maintain strict adherence to security procedures on a sensitive site Requirements: * Black CSCS card (Manager level) * SC Clearance (or eligibility to obtain it) * SMSTS and First Aid certification * Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager on groundworks and concrete frame projects * Strong working knowledge of temporary works, deep drainage, formwork systems, and reinforced concrete delivery * Able to interpret drawings and work closely with engineers and surveyors Additional Info: This is a secure site with long-term work available for the right candidate.
