Our client, a leading civils infrastructure company, is currently seeking a Site Agent with a Highways background to join their team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the highways sector and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Project primarily involves installation of new Cycleways, Footpaths, Roads, Drainage, Structures & all associated works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the project site, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to create and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
  • Implement quality control measures and monitor progress to ensure that all work meets or exceeds client specifications
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries, resources, and personnel
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness among the workforces
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders

Key Requirements:

  • Considerable experience in Civil Engineering, with strong technical knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Highways sector
  • Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM Regulations
  • Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering/specification for infrastructure works
  • Experience of managing a small team using own initiative
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to produce RAMS, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work
  • Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental systems
