Oversee delivery of various highway maintenance & improvement schemes for the council. Managing Sub-contractors, ensuring HSEQ compliance, overseeing progress reporting, and minimising environmental impact across multiple workstreams.
When? Start Date: 30/06/2025 (notice period flexible for the right candidate) Working Hours: 9am–5pm

Required Experience:
- Managing multiple construction workstreams
- Delivering highways/road infrastructure projects
- Subcontractor coordination
- Budget, programme, and HSEQ control
- Site record keeping and progress reporting
- Stakeholder liaison (network managers, local authorities, designers, community groups)
- Understanding of Traffic Management and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)
Duties:
- Manage and maintain construction programmes and ensure safe, timely, and on-budget delivery
- Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors
- Ensure safety documents (CPPs, method statements, RAMS) are in place before work begins
- Engage with commercial teams and take ownership of project financials
- Maintain site diaries and work records
- Develop construction phasing and method statements
- Liaise with key supply chain partners and participate in value engineering
- Uphold QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment) standards

Qualifications:
- IOSH or SMSTS
- CSCS card
- HNC or Degree in a related field (preferred, not essential)
- Clean, full UK driving licence
