We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Foreman to join a well-established groundworks subcontractor on a major project based in Newport. This is a hands-on supervisory role overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise groundworks gangs and subcontractors on site
- Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are completed to programme
- Carry out site briefings and ensure health & safety standards are maintained
- Monitor quality of works and ensure compliance with specifications
- Liaise with Site Management, Engineers, and subcontractors
- Ensure plant, labour, and materials are effectively managed
- Maintain site records and reports where required
Requirements
- CSCS Gold Card or Black Card – Essential
- SMSTS – Essential
- Previous experience working as a Groundworks Foreman
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of groundworks and civils
- Ability to lead teams and manage site operations effectively
