We are currently seeking a committed and proactive Site Engineer to join a residential housing development project in Peterborough. Due to an increased workload, the client requires an immediate addition to the team and is looking for a reliable, stable individual who can take full ownership of their responsibilities from day one.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for all on-site setting out duties, supporting the delivery of infrastructure and groundwork packages across the development.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for drainage works
- Setting out for hard and soft landscaping
- Producing and managing RFI submissions
- Liaising with site management and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design information
- Using FieldView for site documentation, reporting, and quality assurance
- Supporting as-built records and site QA processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential or similar construction projects
- Strong competency in AutoCAD (essential)
- Experience using FieldView or similar construction management software
- Confident setting out ability across drainage, infrastructure, and landscaping works
- Experience raising, tracking, and managing RFIs effectively
- Comfortable using a laptop for site-based engineering and documentation tasks
Certifications & Requirements
- Valid CSCS card required
- Strong understanding of CSCS standards and site compliance requirements
- Proactive, self-sufficient working style
- Reliable and consistent approach, with a preference for long-term commitment
