We are currently seeking a committed and proactive Site Engineer to join a residential housing development project in Peterborough. Due to an increased workload, the client requires an immediate addition to the team and is looking for a reliable, stable individual who can take full ownership of their responsibilities from day one.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for all on-site setting out duties, supporting the delivery of infrastructure and groundwork packages across the development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out for drainage works
  • Setting out for hard and soft landscaping
  • Producing and managing RFI submissions
  • Liaising with site management and subcontractors
  • Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design information
  • Using FieldView for site documentation, reporting, and quality assurance
  • Supporting as-built records and site QA processes

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential or similar construction projects
  • Strong competency in AutoCAD (essential)
  • Experience using FieldView or similar construction management software
  • Confident setting out ability across drainage, infrastructure, and landscaping works
  • Experience raising, tracking, and managing RFIs effectively
  • Comfortable using a laptop for site-based engineering and documentation tasks

Certifications & Requirements

  • Valid CSCS card required
  • Strong understanding of CSCS standards and site compliance requirements
  • Proactive, self-sufficient working style
  • Reliable and consistent approach, with a preference for long-term commitment
