We are currently recruiting for a freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company on a variety of projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, from initial calculations to final accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing tender and contract documents
  • Negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers
  • Monitoring costs
  • Preparing valuations and cost reports
  • Providing advice on cost management to the project team
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  • Managing variations

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You should possess a good understanding of construction contracts, methods and practices, as well as excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

In addition, you should have a keen eye for detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a proactive and can-do attitude. You should also be able to provide references from previous projects.
