About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Grounds Maintenance Lead to take ownership of a long-standing parish council contract in the Fleet area. This role involves hands-on grounds maintenance work as well as team leadership and client-facing responsibilities. You’ll lead a small team to deliver high-quality, scheduled work across public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:

Leading a small team to deliver scheduled seasonal and routine works
*
Operating ride-on and pedestrian mowers across public areas
*
Strimming, pruning, trimming, and general horticultural tasks
*
Sweeping, weeding, leaf clearance and hard surface maintenance
*
Safe use of machinery and equipment (training provided)
*
Accurate use of chemical applications (PA1/PA6 preferred – training available)
*
Daily driving of company vehicle (van or beavertail) from Chobham base
*
Liaising professionally with clients, residents, and the public
*
Ensuring work aligns with programme, quality, and safety expectations
Requirements:

Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)

Proven experience in public-facing grounds maintenance
*
Competent with ride-on mowers and horticultural tools
*
Awareness of Health & Safety in public areas
*
Good timekeeping, organisation, and communication

Comfortable taking ownership and giving direction on site
