A growing renewable energy business is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join the team, supporting clients across heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys building trusted relationships and helping clients choose the right renewable energy solution for their project.
You’ll be managing the full sales cycle, from first conversation through to signed contract, working with homeowners, architects, developers and main contractors on projects ranging from residential systems to high-value commercial and premium residential installations.
The role will involve:
- Building relationships with architects, developers and consultants
- Responding quickly to inbound enquiries and converting them into opportunities
- Conducting site surveys and producing estimates
- Preparing technical specifications and proposals
- Working closely with design and installation teams
- Helping deliver high-quality renewable energy projects that clients trust and recommend
We’re looking for someone with experience in renewables sales, technical pre-sales, design, heating engineering, M&E consultancy or building services. The ideal person will have knowledge of:
- Air source and ground source heat pumps
- Solar PV systems
- Battery storage
- MVHR / air filtration systems
- Air-conditioning systems
- Residential or commercial renewable energy projects
This role would suit someone who can hold confident technical conversations with architects, consultants and clients, and who has a track record of converting opportunities, ideally including projects above £50,000. This is not about being a pushy salesperson. It’s about being technically credible, passionate about renewables and trusted by clients to make the right recommendation.
Package includes:
- £45,000 - £60,000 base salary
- Realistic OTE of £60,000 - £75,000
