We are currently recruiting for an experienced Crane Supervisor to join a major construction project.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's experience working as a Crane Supervisor on construction projects.
- Valid CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor card.
- IPAF 3a & 3b certification is essential.
- Good understanding of BS7121, LOLER and lifting operations.
- Ability to read and work from lifting plans and RAMS.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience coordinating crane operators, slinger/signallers and site teams.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans.
- Coordinate lifting activities with site management, crane operators and subcontractors.
- Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure all personnel understand the lifting operation.
- Monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance with BS7121, LOLER and site procedures.
- Inspect lifting accessories and ensure certification is in date.
- Maintain exclusion zones and monitor site conditions throughout lifting operations.
- Stop any unsafe lifting activities and implement corrective actions where required.
- Complete all relevant lifting documentation and reports.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site.
