We are working with a leading drylining subcontractor delivering a £3m package of works, including the installation of Siniat walling/partition systems and Ecophon ceiling systems. They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for the project from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of the drylining package to ensure profitability and cost control
  • Prepare, submit, and agree interim valuations with the main contractor
  • Monitor project costs and produce accurate cost reports and forecasts
  • Identify, price, and negotiate variations and change events
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts
  • Administer contract conditions and ensure compliance with relevant forms (e.g. JCT)
  • Manage risk and identify commercial opportunities
  • Prepare and agree final accounts in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, and client representatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the main contractor and supply chain
  • Attend site meetings and provide commercial input

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the drylining or interiors sector
  • Strong knowledge of drylining systems, particularly partitions and suspended ceilings
  • Experience working on packages valued £1m+ (ideally up to £3m+)
  • Familiarity with Siniat wall systems and/or Ecophon ceilings is highly desirable
  • Good understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (preferred)
  • Relevant industry experience will also be considered
