Civils and drainage is the backbone of every project that gets built in this country, and Keyline is the specialist that keeps it moving. From heavyside materials to below-ground drainage, our branches rely on a Commercial team that knows its categories inside out. That is where you come in. We are looking for a Category Assistant to join our Commercial function and become the engine room behind our category strategy. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone analytical, organised and commercially curious to build a career in category management with one of the best-known names in the civils sector.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own and maintain the product database, making sure everything is recorded and updated accurately so the category runs efficiently.
- Handle queries from branches and see them through to a clean resolution.
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, branch teams and stakeholders across the Group.
- Dig into the data and turn it into insight that helps the team and the wider Commercial function make timely, informed decisions.
- Support the Category Manager through the new supplier set-up process, keeping data spot on.
- Produce reports and presentations, and pull together tender documentation.
- Keep an eye on competitor activity in your categories and feed that back so we can agree the right response.
- Get involved in supplier negotiations, guided by the Category Manager.
