We are partnering with a globally recognised organisation as they appoint a Workday HCM Core Lead to join their international HR Technology function. This role sits within a mature, multi-region Workday environment and will act as the senior functional authority for HCM Core, shaping how the platform is governed, optimised and strategically developed across global markets. The position operates on a hybrid basis with three days per week onsite in London. Salary is circa £90,000 > £95,000 plus bonus and an excellent benefits package.
This is a hands‑on leadership role with real ownership. You will lead the direction of Workday HCM Core, overseeing solution design, configuration standards, tenant governance and structured release management, while contributing to the wider HR systems roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the functional lead and subject matter authority for Workday HCM Core
- Own configuration integrity, business process design and platform governance across regions
- Lead system enhancements, optimisation initiatives and global projects end‑to‑end
- Oversee release cycles and continuous improvement planning within a live international environment
- Provide leadership, mentoring and direction within the HR systems team
- Partner closely with HR, IT and analytics stakeholders to ensure data integrity and aligned system design
- Maintain high standards across documentation, controls and change management
- Expert‑level, hands‑on Workday HCM Core knowledge
- Proven experience leading HCM Core within a complex, multi-country deployment
- Strong solution design and configuration capability
- Experience delivering system optimisation, transformation or large‑scale enhancement initiatives
- Exposure to integrations and broader HR systems landscapes
- Specialist knowledge in at least one additional area of the Workday HCM suite
- Experience operating within international, matrixed environments
- Credibility engaging with senior stakeholders across regions
- London‑based or within practical commuting distance, with availability to work onsite three days per week
