Role Overview
Are you a night owl with a passion for making a difference? Do you want to support children with learning disabilities to live happy, fulfilled lives? We’re recruiting on behalf of a warm and supportive Residential Children’s Home in Ashbourne. The Waking Nights Support Worker will ensure the safety, comfort, and emotional well-being of children during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing overnight care, ensuring safety and emotional well-being.
- Supporting children with personal care needs respectfully and with dignity.
- Encouraging independence and participation in daily routines.
- Creating a nurturing environment and building positive relationships.
- Collaborating with professionals, families, and team members.
- Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in care, especially with children or learning disabilities, is desirable.
- Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is a bonus.
- Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
