Our government client requires communications and engagement specialists to support in the delivery of communications activities on behalf of the central strategic communications team at the heart of a cutting edge part of the UK's national security. You will work as part of a dynamic communications team providing support to campaign leads in a fast paced, political and emerging area of national security. Every day will be different and this is a unique opportunity for someone with the right skillset.
Core Responsibilities
- Development of communications artefacts to support campaign delivery
- Maintenance of communications channels (including internal web pages, core briefing packs, communications grids and stakeholder logs)
- Stakeholder mapping, relationship building and insight gathering
- Planning and delivery of internal workforce events and briefings
- Coordination and delivery of external events and engagements
- Writing copy for leadership messaging, newsletters, blogs and speeches
- Planning and delivering the organisation’s drumbeat communications activities
- Creation of visually engaging marketing and digital materials
- Audience mapping: Segmenting audiences and understanding their needs
- Storytelling and creative communications: Turning complex business and technical information into clear and engaging messaging
- Insight and evaluation: Measuring and evaluating communication effectiveness
- Self-starter: Proactively spotting opportunities to support the wider team while managing a fluctuating workload
- Copywriting and content design: Proficiency in MS Office tools. Skilled in use of Adobe Creative Suite is desired but not essential
Requirements
- A CIPR, IOIC or similar professional qualification in communications, or at least three years delivery experience
- Security clearance: Active DV (developed vetting) clearance is essential
- Ability to work on client site from either Cheltenham and/or the North West of England
