Childrens Support Worker in Carlisle

Flexible to complete 1 waking night and 1 day shift

We are looking to add an additional team member to an established support team for a support a bright and joyful 11-year-old boy living in Carlisle with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He lives at home with his family, including four other siblings, and requires 1:1 support 24/7, including overnight care. Full Training Provided. About the Role

We are looking for female staff (due to the family setting) to join his team. This young person has complex care needs but we employ our own Nursing team who will give you full training and you won't work solo until you are fully competent. You will join a dedicated, friendly and committed support team to support him to live a full life including:

• Nursing care including PEG feeding and oxygen therapy
• Manual handling
• Personal care
• Medication administration
• Physiotherapy and attending medical appointments
• Support with communication, community access, attending school and holidays
• Being part of family outings, hospital stays, and emergency situations where needed

Please be advised that this position does not offer UK Visa sponsorship. Applicants must have their own legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. We are looking for applicants who can work a minimum of 24 hours. Therefore, we can only accept applications from those on a Dependant, Leave to Remain, Spouse VISA., Driver Required due to remote location of the clients home.

Minimum of 24 Hrs per week (Combination of Days and Nights)

£14.50 to £15.00 per hour

Session times are 07:30 to 19:30 (Day) and 19:30 to 07:30 (Waking Night), Shifts are 12 hours, covering both days and waking nights.
