We are looking to appoint a capable and experienced Registered Manager to oversee a children’s residential home caring for young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants full responsibility for service delivery, team performance and care quality, while helping young people achieve better futures.

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the home’s day-to-day operations and overall service delivery
  • Manage, support and inspire a dedicated residential care team
  • Establish a safe, consistent and supportive environment for young people
  • Champion a culture built around responsibility, stability and positive outcomes

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure the home consistently meets Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage safeguarding practice, risk processes and incident oversight
  • Maintain excellent care documentation, plans and assessments
  • Lead inspection readiness and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement

Leadership & Operations

  • Take responsibility for recruitment, staffing structure and workforce planning
  • Deliver supervisions, appraisals and continuous professional development
  • Manage service budgets, occupancy and operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic growth and service improvement

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build credible relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Act as the professional face of the home at all times
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with families and partner agencies

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and inspections
  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH and more complex care needs
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or currently completing it
  • A proven leader who can strengthen services and improve outcomes
