We are expanding our specialist surveying talent pool and seeking experienced Stock Condition Surveyors to support large-scale housing condition programmes across the region.

The Role

As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you will be responsible for surveying residential dwellings—including houses, flats, maisonettes and bungalows—and capturing structured data to support housing compliance and asset management strategies. You will record HHSRS observations, Decent Homes elements, property components and RdSAP evidence. This is a contract role ideal for surveyors who are confident working independently and delivering high-quality data across multiple estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and external condition surveys of residential properties
  • Record property components, attributes and photographic evidence
  • Follow structured survey methodologies and photo schedules
  • Identify and escalate HHSRS hazards appropriately
  • Use mobile/tablet-based survey applications for data capture
  • Upload completed surveys within agreed timescales
  • Communicate professionally with residents during property visits

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering residential stock condition surveys
  • Strong knowledge of building fabric, construction, and housing standards
  • Experience using mobile/tablet survey software
  • DEA qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Valid DBS check
  • Full UK driving licence
