We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a regulated children's residential service in Stafford. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for safeguarding, quality, compliance, and service delivery within a highly regulated environment.
You will provide strong operational and strategic leadership, ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people while maintaining Ofsted compliance and driving continuous improvement.
The Role
- Lead the day-to-day operation of a children's residential service
- Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager
- Ensure services meet Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Lead safeguarding practice, risk management, and care planning
- Manage staff recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and rotas
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary professionals and commissioning authorities
- Develop and deliver the Statement of Purpose and service development plans
- Manage budgets and maintain inspection-ready documentation
- Lead the service through inspections and regulatory scrutiny
About You
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or Children & Young People), or eligible and committed to complete
- Eligible to register with Ofsted
- Significant management experience within a regulated children's residential setting
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capability
- Confident managing teams, inspections, and complex needs
- Calm, resilient, and values-driven
Desirable
- Experience opening, stabilising, or improving a regulated children's service
- History of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Experience with evidence-based or clinically informed practice models
