About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a well-regarded specialist education provider. This setting supports children and young people aged 6–19 with diverse communication needs, including Autism, SEMH, and ADHD.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you\’ll lead on assessments, develop personalised communication plans, and help foster a culture of communication-friendly learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist speech and language assessments
  • Create, implement, and adapt tailored therapy interventions
  • Provide therapy in individual, group, and classroom settings
  • Contribute to EHCPs and Annual Reviews
  • Offer guidance and training to staff and families
  • Collaborate with external professionals and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach
  • Support the creation of accessible communication tools and inclusive environments

Requirements

  • HCPC and RCSLT registration
  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Experience working with children or young people with complex communication needs
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team

Desirable:

  • ELKLAN Tutor Training
  • Knowledge of EHCP processes and the National Curriculum
  • Experience developing visual and communication-friendly resources
