We’re looking for a genuinely strong AI Engineer to join a growing SaaS business in West Midlands. This is not a research or experimentation role; it’s about designing, building and deploying real AI systems that solve real operational problems across the business. If you’re an engineer first, with a track record of shipping production-grade AI workflows, this is the kind of role where you’ll thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build and deploy internal AI agents and agentic workflows that automate real business processes
- Own solutions end-to-end, from concept through to production deployment and monitoring
- Work across functions including Product, Finance, Sales, Operations and Customer Success
- Integrate AI systems into existing enterprise tools, platforms and APIs
- Continuously improve systems through iteration, feedback and performance insights
Technical Requirements
- Strong Python engineering fundamentals
- Experience with modern agent frameworks, orchestration tooling and LLM-based systems
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations
- Experience with testing, observability and production monitoring
- Ability to build systems that are robust, scalable and maintainable
What We’re Looking For
- Engineering First Mindset: You’re a software engineer at your core. You’ve built and shipped working systems, not just explored AI ideas.
- Production Agentic Experience: You’ve delivered AI agents, workflows or intelligent automation that real users rely on in live environments.
- Enterprise Integration Strength: Comfortable integrating with CRMs, finance systems, ticketing platforms, internal tools and APIs.
- Commercial Judgement: You understand where AI creates real business value, and avoid building for novelty.
- Operational Maturity: You think about failure modes, observability, monitoring, autonomy boundaries and safe deployment.
- SaaS / Enterprise Background (Preferred): Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, enterprise software or internal platform teams is highly valued.
