The KTS Group are working in partnership with a rapidly expanding group of specialist schools across the North West. We are seeking Primary SEND Teachers to become an intrinsic part of their exciting growth plans.
Role purpose: To deliver high-quality primary or primary-model teaching in a specialist SEND/AP setting, building safe relationships, adapting the curriculum around EHCP needs and supporting learners with autism, SEMH, ADHD, PDA-type profiles, communication needs and gaps in learning.
Core responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated English, maths, phonics, reading and wider curriculum lessons for small groups.
- Use EHCPs, IEPs, behaviour support plans and assessment information to personalise learning.
- Create calm, predictable routines that support emotional regulation and readiness to learn.
- Work with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, parents/carers and school leaders.
- Maintain safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and progress records to a high standard.
- Contribute to a nurturing culture where pupils feel safe, seen and successful.
Required evidence:
- QTS is mandatory unless client states otherwise.
- Primary, KS1, KS2 or primary-model teaching experience.
- SEND/SEN/SEMH/ASD/autism/ADHD/PDA, PRU, AP, nurture or resource-base experience.
- Strong behaviour, de-escalation, trauma-informed or therapeutic-practice understanding.
- Evidence of phonics, early reading, maths and assessment for pupils with gaps in learning.
- Enhanced DBS/current update service preferred or willingness to complete immediately.
