A well-established and values-driven children’s care provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee one of its Ofsted-regulated residential homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional to lead a passionate team and provide outstanding care for young people with complex needs.
About the Role
- Hold legal responsibility for the operation of the home in line with Ofsted regulations
- Lead, support, and develop a skilled care team to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Promote safeguarding best practices and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment
- Drive service performance, ensure effective occupancy, and manage referrals
- Oversee all quality assurance, reporting, and operational management duties
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee personalised Quality of Life Plans for each child
- Foster a culture of therapeutic care using the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
- Deliver ongoing training, supervision, and professional development to staff
- Monitor service quality through internal audits and regulatory inspections (Regulations 44/45)
- Manage rotas, budgets, HR processes, and all compliance requirements
- Lead on safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency collaboration
About You
- Registration (or eligibility to register) with Ofsted as a Registered Manager
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a children's residential setting
- A relevant qualification such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care – Children and Young People’s Services
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, residential care standards, and therapeutic approaches
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A reflective, compassionate, and resilient approach to working with vulnerable children
