We are recruiting a Pastoral Manager to lead SEND, inclusion, behaviour, pastoral systems, and learner support across a specialist education group. This is a practical leadership role for someone who can turn EHCPs, behaviour plans, safeguarding-aware practice, and intervention strategies into clear systems that support both pupils and staff day to day.
The role will involve:
- Leading inclusion strategy, SEND provision, behaviour support, and pastoral systems
- Supporting EHCP implementation, annual reviews, provision mapping, and progress tracking
- Coaching teachers and support staff on trauma-informed practice, autism, SEMH, and classroom inclusion
- Working closely with DSLs, school leaders, parents, carers, local authorities, and external professionals
- Using data to identify barriers to attendance, regulation, learning, and engagement
- Supporting policy, compliance, quality assurance, and multi-site consistency
We are looking for someone with experience as a:
- SENDCo
- Inclusion Lead
- Behaviour Lead
- Pastoral Lead
- Assistant Head
- AP / SEMH / specialist education leader
Strong experience with SEND, SEMH, autism, EHCPs, annual reviews, safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and parent / carer communication is essential.
Highly desirable:
- QTS and NASENCo / NPQ SENDCo, or willingness to complete
- DSL or Deputy DSL experience
- Multi-site, MAT, AP, or independent specialist school experience
- Experience improving behaviour, attendance, EHCP quality, or intervention tracking
This role would suit a calm, credible inclusion leader who can influence staff and senior leaders without creating blame or unnecessary bureaucracy.
