About the Role

Our client is an established main contractor delivering construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects across Scotland and England.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their commercial team and lead the preparation of accurate, competitive and profitable tenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications and contract documents.
  • Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Attend site visits and tender review meetings.
  • Produce cost plans and value engineering proposals.
  • Support tender handovers to project teams.
  • Oversee and mentor estimating team members.
  • Improve estimating systems and cost databases.

Skills and Experience

  • Senior estimating experience within construction.
  • Knowledge of refurbishment and maintenance projects.
  • Strong commercial and numerical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
  • Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
