The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to take charge of a children’s residential home supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the home, ideal for someone who wants to drive quality, build an effective team, and deliver strong outcomes for young people over the long term.
The Role
- Take full operational responsibility for the running of the home
- Lead, mentor and strengthen the staff team
- Provide a safe, nurturing and well-structured setting for young people
- Drive high standards, consistency and a strong outcomes-focused culture
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure the service operates in line with Ofsted regulations and best practice standards
- Oversee safeguarding procedures, risk management and incident handling
- Ensure care plans, assessments and records are maintained to a high standard
- Lead the service through inspections and continuous quality improvement
Leadership & Operations
- Manage hiring, staffing levels and workforce organisation
- Deliver supervisions, annual reviews and staff development plans
- Take responsibility for budgets, occupancy and service performance
- Work alongside senior leadership to support operational and strategic goals
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong, credible relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and partner professionals
- Represent the home positively and professionally at all times
- Ensure strong communication with families and key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrable experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s home
- Solid understanding of Ofsted compliance, inspections and regulatory standards
- Experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or currently working towards it
- A resilient and confident leader with a history of improving care services
