Are you an MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor looking for greater variety, autonomy and ownership of your client work? We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a commercial building consultancy in Bristol. You will manage a varied portfolio of professional and project-led instructions from the initial brief through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building condition and pre-acquisition surveys
- Technical due diligence and defect diagnosis
- Dilapidations and schedules of condition
- Refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects
- Preparing specifications and schedules of work
- Tendering, procurement and contract administration
- Employer’s Agent and project delivery duties
- Party Wall, CDM and Building Regulations matters
- Managing clients, contractors and stakeholders
- Preparing fee proposals and developing repeat business
- Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors
What we’re looking for:
- MRICS Chartered status
- Current experience within commercial building consultancy
- A strong background in professional surveying services
- Experience delivering refurbishment and maintenance projects
- Excellent technical reporting and commercial judgement
- Confidence managing multiple instructions independently
- A valid UK driving licence
Experience across commercial offices, industrial and logistics, retail, mixed-use, education, healthcare or student accommodation would be particularly relevant. Surveyors from small or mid-sized consultancies are especially encouraged to apply.
