We are looking for experienced Quality & Compliance Consultants to deliver pre-inspection readiness and improvement support across children’s residential services. This is a hands-on, outcomes-focused contract role, supporting providers to strengthen evidence, address gaps, and present services confidently and accurately ahead of inspection. The emphasis is on practical improvement and clear written outputs, not policy rewriting or long-term consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-inspection readiness reviews, aligned to service type and inspection expectations
  • Complete prioritised gap analysis with clear actions, owners, and timescales
  • Produce evidence checklists and improvement plans that are realistic and inspection-ready
  • Review governance, safeguarding, quality assurance, and recording standards
  • Provide clear, concise written reports suitable for senior leadership and inspection use
  • Optional follow-up support, coaching, or progress checks where required

Requirements

  • Strong background in children’s residential quality, compliance, or governance
  • Proven experience supporting services through inspection preparation or improvement
  • Excellent written reporting skills and evidence discipline
  • Ability to influence senior leaders calmly and credibly
  • Demonstrable outcomes from previous quality improvement or inspection-readiness work

Flexible contract or associate engagement. Day rate or project-based fee. Remote delivery with onsite work as required, region dependent.
