As a specialist recruiter operating within the façade, cladding, and remediation sector, I am currently working with a well-established building envelope contractor delivering remediation and re-cladding schemes, including high-rise projects exceeding 18m requiring Gateway approval.

Due to continued growth and regulatory demand, they are seeking a senior-level Technical Design Lead to take ownership of Building Safety Regulator (BSR) submissions and Gateway processes.

The Role

This is a strategic technical position focused on regulatory compliance rather than hands-on drawing production. You will:

  • Lead and coordinate Gateway 2 submissions to the BSR
  • Manage responses to BSR RFIs and regulatory queries
  • Compile and present technical information in a clear, structured and compliant format
  • Coordinate consultants, façade designers and internal teams to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Ensure alignment with Building Regulations, HRB requirements and the Building Safety Act
  • Support internal stakeholders on compliance strategy across remediation projects

This role would suit a senior technical professional who understands façade systems and remediation but prefers governance and regulatory coordination over full-time CAD production.

Ideal Background

  • Strong understanding of HRB projects (18m+)
  • Proven experience dealing with Gateway submissions and Building Control
  • Background within cladding, façade, EWI or re-cladding projects
  • Experience compiling technical compliance packs
  • Strong written and presentational skills
  • Comfortable liaising with regulators and external stakeholders
  • Technical qualification in Architecture, Building Technology, Façade Engineering, or similar

Why Apply?

  • Opportunity to take ownership of regulatory compliance within a growing remediation contractor
  • Strategic, senior-level position
  • Employee Owned Trust structure – long-term cultural and financial benefits
  • Work within a specialist façade environment at the forefront of post-Grenfell remediation
