I am working with a reputable building envelope contractor seeking an Estimator to join their commercial team due to sustained growth.
They are open to:
- An experienced façade / cladding estimator
- A candidate with transferable estimating experience from a related construction discipline who can be developed
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for façade and remediation projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documents
- Producing take-offs and BOQs
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations
- Supporting tender submissions
- Working closely with technical and delivery teams
For experienced façade estimators, there may be flexibility on hybrid working. For developing candidates, this role will require full-time office attendance initially.
Ideal Background (Option 1 – Experienced)
- Proven estimating experience within cladding / EWI / façade systems
- Strong knowledge of remediation projects
- Ability to price complex envelope packages
- Understanding of fire compliance upgrades
Ideal Background (Option 2 – Transferable Skills)
- Estimating background in roofing, drylining, curtain walling, external works or similar
- Strong numerical and commercial acumen
- Keen to specialise in façade remediation
