We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager with a background working within an accountancy firm, professional services firm, outsourcing team or client accounting environment. You will manage a portfolio of client accounting and financial reporting engagements, taking responsibility for delivery, technical reporting, client relationships and the development of junior team members.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of client accounting and financial reporting engagements
- Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports
- Oversee VAT, reconciliations, month-end and year-end reporting
- Ensure reporting is compliant with FRS 102 or FRS 101, UK GAAP and IFRS
- Act as a key contact for senior client finance stakeholders
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide coaching
- Manage engagement deadlines, resources, budgets, billing and WIP
- Support year-end accounts and external audit requirements
- Improve accounting processes, controls and reporting
- Support proposals and wider client-development opportunities
What We Are Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous experience within an accountancy firm, professional practice, professional services or outsourced/client accounting environment
- Strong post-qualified financial reporting or client accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102 or FRS 101, UK GAAP and IFRS
- Experience managing multiple external client engagements
- Strong management accounts, VAT, reconciliations and month-end experience
- Experience reviewing financial statements and accounting outputs
- Experience managing budgets, billing, WIP or engagement profitability
- Strong Excel, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to attend London offices and client sites as required
