Are you an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Surveyor who thrives on quality, accuracy, and technical assurance rather than pure data collection? We’re supporting a major Southwark-based local authority framework and are seeking an M&E Surveyor to act as the technical lead and validation authority for Mechanical & Electrical survey data, ensuring survey outputs are accurate, compliant, and aligned with framework requirements.

Hybrid working model:

  • ~2 days per week working from home (validation, review & reporting)
  • ~3 days per week on-site (validation visits, spot checks & team support)

Responsibilities:

  • Validate & QA-check M&E survey data from field-based surveyors
  • Ensure surveys meet framework specifications & coding standards
  • Provide technical guidance, feedback & mentoring to survey teams
  • Identify risks, inconsistencies & technical issues early

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in M&E surveying, inspection or validation roles
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical & Electrical building systems
  • Experience reviewing, checking or validating survey data
  • Background across housing, estates or public-sector portfolios
  • Confident with digital data capture tools
  • Able to work autonomously and take ownership of technical quality
  • Local authority or public-sector framework exposure
  • Familiarity with structured survey specifications & coding frameworks
