Are you an experienced electrical design professional ready to take ownership of complex, high-value projects across London? We’re working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering landmark residential and mixed-use schemes across the capital. Based out of their Wembley office, you’ll manage and drive the technical delivery of electrical services design for multi-million-pound developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all electrical design stages (RIBA 3–6)
- Coordinate and review designs: LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, BMS, etc.
- Ensure compliance with BS7671, Building Regs (Part P, L, B), and GLA energy strategies
- Liaise with Mechanical, Architectural, and Structural teams
- Represent the contractor in all design meetings and technical submissions
- Manage RFIs, technical submittals, and handover/commissioning documentation
- Support BSR Gateway submissions for higher-risk buildings
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Electrical Engineering / Building Services
- 5–10 years in electrical design or design management
- Strong knowledge of BIM Level 2, Navisworks/Revizto, and CDE platforms
- Practical experience in residential or mixed-use developments
Nice to Have
- Chartered Engineer status (IET/CIBSE) or working toward it
- Familiarity with PV systems, EV charging, and low-carbon technologies
- Experience with BSR Gateway 2 and 3 deliverables
