We are looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery across water industry contracts and civil engineering projects within a drainage and wastewater network environment. This is a senior commercial role suited to someone who can protect margin, cash flow and contractual compliance, while developing a QS team and building strong relationships with delivery teams, clients and supply chain partners.
What you will be doing:
- Leading commercial management across water and civil engineering projects
- Owning cost control, valuations, CVRs, forecasts, commercial reporting and final accounts
- Managing NEC contract administration, risk, change, variations and delays
- Leading subcontract procurement, payment, performance and account close-out
- Managing, mentoring and developing QS/SQS team members
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years’ experience in a commercial construction environment
- Strong background in civil engineering, water/wastewater, utilities, drainage, highways or infrastructure
- NEC target cost contract experience
- D&C/framework experience highly desirable
- Degree qualified or equivalent, with strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills
- Valid UK driving licence and realistic access to Bowburn and regional sites
