As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping pupils achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Encouraging pupil engagement and participation.
- Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), where required.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting with general classroom organisation.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in a school, nursery or care setting.
- A positive, patient and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A passion for supporting children's education and development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
